Inflexion Private Equity Partners has acquired Detectortesters
Founded in 1965, Detectortesters is a leading and internationally recognized designer and manufacturer of fire-detection test equipment for the commercial fire alarms market. The company is headquartered in Hatfield, United Kingdom, with a strong U.S. presence through its distribution partner, Systems Distributors, LLC, who was also acquired as part of the investment.
Detectortesters’ products are well known for their high quality, enabling the brand to become a market leader worldwide. Its products are sold in 130 countries and over 80% of its revenues are derived outside the U.K. Innovation is central to the company’s DNA; all the company’s product development is conducted in-house while working with the major fire detection original equipment manufacturers.
Phil McCreanor and Matthew Buck, Managing Director and Director in Lincoln’s London office, respectively, commented, “We are delighted to have supported Inflexion. Detectortesters operates in an exciting, regulatory-driven, high growth market and we are sure the business will thrive under Inflexion’s ownership.”
Lincoln served as an independent financial advisor to Inflexion, providing process, financial and tactical advisory expertise together with debt advisory services.
The team at Lincoln provided trusted and thoughtful advice, supporting us in successfully executing the acquisition in an accelerated process.
