AURELIUS has sold GHOTEL Group to Art-Invest Real Estate
GHOTEL, headquartered in Bonn, Germany, operates a chain of modern hotels under its own and franchise brands with business travelers as the main target group. GHOTEL focuses on the crisis resistant and growing midscale segment (3-4 stars) in B- and C-cities with strong economic centers spread across Germany. By the end of 2019, GHOTEL operated 17 hotels with 12 more openings planned by 2023. With the acquisition of GHOTEL Group, Art-Invest strengthens its position as a hotel operator and completes the development towards an integrated hotel investment group with development, investment and operations business units.

Managing the entire process including providing financial and tactical advisory expertise to the seller as well as leading the marketing, due diligence and negotiation phases of the transaction ensured a successful outcome that generated a healthy return to the seller and strong development opportunities for GHOTEL, its employees and its new owner.
