CTF Solar has sold three U.K. solar farms to BlackRock

Lincoln International (“Lincoln”), a leading global mid-market investment bank, is pleased to announce that CTF Solar GmbH (“CTF Solar”), a wholly owned subsidiary of China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd. has sold a portfolio of three U.K. solar projects for GBP 15 million. The solar assets comprised Wormit Farm in Fife, Scotland, Stanton under Bardon Farm in Leicestershire and Gretton in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, with a total installed capacity of 13.5MW. This further consolidates the secondary U.K. solar market.

CTF Solar delivers turnkey photovoltaic power plants and thin film solar module factories around the globe. The three solar parks based in England and Scotland are supported under the Renewable Obligation subsidies at the attractive rate of 1.3 ROC/MWh.

BlackRock Real Assets acquired the assets as part of their strategic Kingfisher partnership with Lightsource BP, which is targeting the acquisition and ownership of U.K. solar power generation assets with an anticipated aggregate enterprise value of GBP 1 billion, representing a total target installed capacity of circa 1GWp.

Oliver Haller, Director of Solar Parks at CTF Solar, noted, “The Lincoln team was very professional and provided strong support throughout the process. Their involvement in negotiations was invaluable. Lincoln’s U.K. and German teams integrated very well with our project team, which led to a real team effort in delivering a successful transaction.”
