Tom Murphy Joins Lincoln International as Managing Director and Co-head of Aerospace and Defense Practice
Lincoln International today announced that Thomas J. Murphy has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Co-head of the Aerospace and Defense practice with Razmig Arzoumanian. Tom will provide mergers & acquisitions advisory services and deal execution for global aerospace and defense suppliers.
“I am excited to join Lincoln’s highly-respected Industrials Group and broaden the firm’s increasing footprint in the aerospace and defense (A&D) sector,” said Tom. “There is a growing M&A opportunity in the sector due to unprecedented growth in commercial aerospace globally and the continued increasing defense budgets with consolidation in the supply chain. Lincoln’s global connectedness will be a true asset to advising my clients on utilizing these market opportunities to realize their individual aspirations.”
Lincoln has the most active global Industrials group in terms of transactions and consistently leads the industry rankings for sell-side transactions, according to Mergermarket. The team has more than 80 professionals around the world and in 2018, completed 73 sell-side advisories, bringing their five-year total to over 290 transactions.
“A&D has experienced strong momentum in M&A over the past several years, and Lincoln continues to be a leading M&A advisor in the space,” stated Eric Malchow, President North America, Managing Director and head of Lincoln’s Industrials Group. “Tom’s extensive expertise and strong relationships in the sector will provide great value not only to our global A&D team, but importantly, to our clients.”
