Michael provides long-term, strategic advisory to owners and executives of healthcare services and product companies. He has advised clients in a broad range of transactions, including sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions, corporate divestitures, private placements of equity and debt, bankruptcy and restructuring advisory and fairness opinions. His clients include leading private companies, private equity groups and public companies.
With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Michael understands the nuances of various healthcare markets, the value drivers of healthcare companies and how to position these companies to prospective buyers or investors. He has become a trusted advisor to company leaders and financial sponsor professionals, providing strategic guidance and growth. Michael focuses on home and community-based healthcare services, specialized pharmacy services, other alternate site services, as well as medical equipment and products manufacturing.
Prior to joining Lincoln, Michael co-led the healthcare group at BB&T Capital Markets, starting its healthcare investment banking practice. Previously, he was a partner and managing director at Ewing Bemiss & Co. Michael was also a senior healthcare equity research analyst with Vector Securities International and Wheat First Union Securities.
Michael earned a Master of Arts in economics from the University of Virginia. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of California.
