Lincoln Partners Opens Office in New York City

Lincoln Partners LLC, one of the leading mid-market mergers and acquisitions advisory firms in North America, today announced the opening of its New York office. From its founding in 1996, Lincoln Partners has been dedicated to consistent and controlled growth. With an investment banking staff approaching 50, Lincoln Partners has established a strong presence in the Midwest and a national client base.

As the city with the largest concentration of private equity firms, corporate headquarters, financial institutions and investment bankers in North America, New York was the logical next step in the firm’s growth plan. Lincoln Partners’ local presence will help to expand and strengthen the firm’s relationships with these groups.

The New York office will be led by Ed Hanlon and Robert Satow, managing directors at Lincoln Partners. Both Hanlon and Satow have substantial experience at Lincoln Partners as well as extensive relationships in New York. Hanlon helped form Lincoln Partners in 1996 and spent a number of years working in Chicago before moving to the East Coast. Hanlon previously worked at Morgan Stanley in New York. Satow has been working in Lincoln Partners’ Chicago office for the past year and previously worked in New York with The Blackstone Group and Houlihan Lokey.

“Our strong relationships with private equity firms and private and public companies around the world allow us to identify the best fit, and therefore the best results, for our clients,” said Robert Satow. “This expansion provides us with a dedicated and skilled team in the New York area to increase our interactions with companies looking for a proven mid-market investment firm to assist in their transactions.”

Currently, Lincoln Partners focuses on a specialized set of industries including aerospace/defense, automotive, building products, business services, chemicals, consumer/food, electronics, general industrial, and packaging. Additionally, Lincoln Partners has teams dedicated to private capital raising and restructuring. The firm is actively looking to add experienced bankers focused on select industries and end markets.

“Our presence in New York allows us to tap into the large local market of highly talented investment bankers and selectively add people that fit into our culture and deepen and/or broaden our industry expertise,” said Rob Barr, co-chairman and managing director.
