Detailed Biography

Role at Lincoln International

James Fang is CEO of China and a Managing Director. James is responsible for coordinating Lincoln’s global resources and developing business in China. He is involved in client relationship management, leads transaction teams and markets Lincoln International’s overall services.

Advisory Experience:

James has 12 years of experience in investment banking and private equity investment advisory. He has advised clients on IPOs, bond issuance, private placements, acquisitions and capital raising. James worked for SOEs, POEs and a variety of other financial institutions. James has also led private funds in fund raising, deal sourcing and execution.

Industry Experience:

James has worked on transactions across a variety of industries, including financial services, infrastructure, telecom, consumer products, transportation, power & utility and natural resources, among others.

Past Affiliations:

Throughout his career, James has worked for commercial banks, private equity firms, investment banks and corporate organizations. He also has accumulated over 20 years of experience in the finance sector. Prior to joining Lincoln in 2018, he was CFO and a key member of executive committee of Joyme Group. Before Joyme, James was with Morgan Stanley in Beijing where he was an Executive Director of the investment banking division. From 2008-2010, James served as Vice President of Huaneng Invesco WLR Investment Consulting Co.

James started his career with China Merchants Bank, and joined Huaneng Capital Services Co. Ltd. in 2004.

James holds degree Master of Business Administration from Boston University and a Bachelor’sin economics from Sun Yat-sen University. James speaks English and Chinese.
