Role at Lincoln International:
Ikuo is a Managing Director of Lincoln International in Japan. In this role, he leads origination and execution of M&A transactions involving Japanese companies. In addition, Ikuo acts as a key member of the firm’s Global Chemicals & Materials Group and Healthcare Group.
During his over 30 years of investment banking career in New York, Tokyo and London, Ikuo has worked on a wide range of types of deals including acquisitions, disposals, public tenders and restructurings, as well as debt and equity capital market transactions. Many of the transactions were cross-border involving large corporations.
Ikuo has worked in a broad range of industries with a particular emphasis on chemicals & materials and healthcare. Other industries he has experience with include consumer products, industrials and technology.
Prior to joining Lincoln, Ikuo was a Managing Director, Deal Advisory - M&A at KPMG FAS where he led the M&A advisory efforts for KPMG in Japan. Prior to KPMG, Ikuo worked at Investment Banking Divisions of Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers, Barclays and BNP Paribas in New York, Tokyo and London. Ikuo began his career at Ministry of Finance of Japan.
Ikuo holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from The University of Tokyo and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University.
