Detailed Biography

Role at Lincoln International:

Dirk is a member of the Consumer Goods / Retail team. In addition to building and maintaining client relationships Dirk focuses on leading transaction teams.

Advisory Expertise:

Dirk has many years of experience in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, both as advisor to the seller and the purchaser, for standard transactions, leveraged buy-outs and public takeovers, as well as mergers. He also gained capital markets experience as he was involved in the global coordinator function of UBS for the IPO of Deutsche Post. He has acted on behalf of large corporations, mid-cap and privately held companies, as well as private equity funds.

Industry Expertise:

Dirk has gained industry expertise especially in the consumer goods / retail sector, but has also worked on deals in fields like automotive, building & construction, chemicals, engineering, packaging or transportation / logistics.

Past Affiliations:

Dirk joined Lincoln International in 2001. He started his career at UBS Investment Bank in 1996 in Structured Finance working in Frankfurt, London, New York and Zurich. Since 1998, he was a member of the Corporate Finance team in Frankfurt working mainly on M&A transactions including the public takeover of Mannesmann by Vodafone.

Academic Credentials:

After completing a bank apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank in Münster and obtaining an intermediate degree in business administration at the University of Münster, Dirk was awarded a triple degree (Diplom-Kaufmann, Diplôme Grande Ecole, European Masters) at ESCP Europe (former EAP European School of Management). With German as his native tongue, he also speaks English, French and Spanish.
