Ecce Panis has been sold to Campbell Soup Company

Lincoln International, a global middle market investment bank, today announced that Ecce Panis, Inc. (“Ecce Panis” or the “Company”) has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) (“Campbell”).

Headquartered in East Brunswick, New Jersey, Ecce Panis provides premium, branded par-baked artisan breads sold primarily through the in-store bakeries of leading retailers and grocery chains across the country. Lincoln International acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Ecce Panis. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to be completed later this spring. Upon completion of the transaction, Campbell plans to operate Ecce Panis as a distinct brand within its Pepperidge Farm portfolio.

The Ecce Panis transaction represents the second food deal that Lincoln has announced in the past week. On March 26th, 2009, Lincoln announced the sale of Harvest Manor Farms, LLC (“Harvest Manor”) to Ralcorp Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: RAH). Harvest Manor, headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with production facilities in El Paso, Texas, is a large U.S. provider of branded and private label nuts and other snacks sold through grocery, club, big box retail, foodservice, and vending/concession channels. Lincoln acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Harvest Manor. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
