Lincoln International Expands Valuations & Opinions Group

Team of Four Seasoned Professionals Further Deepens Lincoln International’s Valuations & Opinions Expertise

Lincoln International, a leading global, mid-market investment bank, announced today that it has expanded its Valuations & Opinions Group. The Valuations & Opinions Group has grown significantly over the last several years and has expanded its client base to include many of the largest and most prestigious business development companies (BDCs), alternative asset managers, credit opportunity funds and private equity groups. The Group’s recent additions will enable Lincoln International to offer even more in-depth expertise and advice on valuations and transaction opinion services to a broader range of clients.

Larry Levine, an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in valuations, capital raising and mergers and acquisitions, joins the Valuations & Opinions Group as a Managing Director in the Chicago office. Mr. Levine brings significant experience valuing a wide array of financial instruments, including fixed income and equity securities and derivative financial instruments. He also provides expert witness testimony. Mr. Levine’s experience spans a variety of industries, including aerospace and defense, automotive and truck, building products, business services, consumer products, distribution, industrial manufacturing and healthcare. Mr. Levine joins Lincoln International from McGladrey LLP where he was a Partner in the Financial Advisory Services consulting group for 22 years. Mr. Levine led McGladrey’s Great Lakes business valuation practice and has been frequently quoted in the business press on illiquid investment and financial instrument valuation matters.

John O’Kane also recently joined Lincoln International as Senior Advisor to the Valuations & Opinions Group, bringing more than 30 years of experience in risk management and portfolio management with leading financial institutions. Mr. O’Kane plays a role in strategic planning, quality control and adherence to best practices, providing the Valuations & Opinions Group with valuable insight and expertise. He joins Lincoln International from Fortress Investment Group, LLC where he was Managing Director and Head of Corporate Loan Portfolio Management. In this role, he was responsible for the management of several billion dollars of diversified debt and equity investments, primarily in private middle market companies.

Other recent additions to the Valuations & Opinions Group at Lincoln International are Sarit Rapport and Brian Garfield who both joined as Vice Presidents in the New York office. Ms. Rapport has over 11 years of experience in the valuation profession with a particular focus on business enterprise and debt valuations, as well as alternative and other illiquid investments. She joined Lincoln from Deloitte & Touche LLP where she was a Manager in the Financial Advisory Services group. Mr. Garfield recently joined from Duff & Phelps, LLC where he was a Vice President in the Alternative Asset Advisory group. Mr. Garfield brings over six years of experience in financial advisory and valuation services with a specialization in valuing illiquid investments, including but not limited to private loans, preferred equity, common equity and warrant positions held by alternative asset managers.
