Razmig Arzoumanian Joins Lincoln International as Head of Aerospace and Defense Group in North America

Lincoln International, a leading global, mid-market investment bank, has announced that it has hired Razmig Arzoumanian as a Managing Director and the Head of the Aerospace and Defense Group in North America. Razmig, one of the premier A&D investment bankers in the United States, will be based in Lincoln International’s New York office.

Razmig joins Lincoln International from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he previously served as the Co-Head of Global Aerospace and Defense. During his seven years at Merrill Lynch, he played an integral role in the development of their A&D practice, leading over $15 billion in transactions in the A&D sector. Razmig was involved in several landmark A&D transactions which shaped the current A&D industry both in North America and Europe, most notably the sale of DRS to Finmeccanica, the sale of Armor Holdings to BAE Systems, and the sale of Applied Signal to Raytheon. Razmig earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

“Lincoln International strives to provide superior advice and services to clients across a broad spectrum of industries in each of the key global economies,” commented Jim Lawson, Chairman of Lincoln International. “Razmig brings deep sector experience, contacts, perspective and cross-border experience. We are certain he will be a strong asset to our firm and our clients.”

“Having spent the last decade focused on serving the A&D sector, I have developed deep sector knowledge and relationships,” said Razmig Arzoumanian. “Lincoln’s unique combination of global reach, industry-specific expertise and an institutional focus on the middle market is a great fit for my background, and will allow me to focus more time working on advisory assignments with clients. I am excited to join the exceptional bankers at Lincoln and continue to provide high quality advice to all of my clients.”

At Lincoln, Razmig will lead an established A&D Group with a distinguished track record of completing A&D transactions for global corporations, private equity firms and privately-held companies. Senior members of Lincoln International’s North American A&D team include General Bob Edmonds, Advisory Director, and James Foster, Advisory Director, Alyssa Morrisroe, Director and Scott Hebbeler, Vice President.

Brigadier General Bob Edmonds, Advisory Director, has a distinguished record of military and private sector service in the A&D sector. Having previously spent 27 years in active duty for the United States Air Force as an F-15 Eagle Pilot and Commander, he has developed deep industry relationships and insights. General Edmonds also spent over a decade working in Washington D.C. on Capitol Hill, in both the White House and the Pentagon.

James Foster, Advisory Director, focuses on the cyber security sector. Mr. Foster was the founder of Ciphent, a global cyber security solutions company, which he later sold in 2010. He has also held executive roles at Foundstone, Guardent, and Information Security Magazine, has briefed the United States Congress and National Security Council on expanding national cyber threats, and is a best-selling author of over a dozen books on national, computer, and network security.

Alyssa Morrisroe, Director, has spent over a decade working as an advisor to companies in the A&D sector. Ms. Morrisroe joined Lincoln International in 2008 from Jefferies Quarterdeck working in Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and London, where she founded Jefferies Quarterdeck’s U.K. office. She has closed dozens of transactions in the industry, including sales of private companies, corporate divestitures, sales for and to private equity firms as well as buy-side assignments and debt and equity financings. Alyssa received her BA from the University of California at Berkeley.

Scott Hebbeler, Vice President, has been a key member of the firm’s A&D Group working on over 30 transactions since joining the firm in 2006. Prior to his joining Lincoln International, Scott served in the United States Air Force where he earned the rank of Captain, and worked on projects such as the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle Program, the Air Force’s next generation space launch platform. Scott also served overseas during Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Scott earned his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and is a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy.

Rob Barr, Managing Director and CEO of Lincoln International’s North America operations commented “By teaming up with Razmig, Lincoln International’s A&D Group will be well positioned to continue to expand our presence in the increasingly important M&A sector including critical and growing sub-sectors such as aero structures, ISR, MRO and cyber security.”
