Onwards and upwards for Lincoln International in the UK

London, 17th September 2014: Since establishing a presence in the UK market in 2008, Lincoln’s London office has grown to more than 30 professionals. In 2014 the office is on track to record its sixth consecutive year of growth with 15 transactions completed year to date in M&A and Debt Advisory, and 24 clients won in our Pensions Advisory business, taking scheme assets under advice to approaching £100 billion.

We are delighted to update you on the progress in each of our core service areas:

M&A – Strong momentum of completed M&A deals and new hires

The M&A team has successfully completed multiple sales to international corporate buyers this year including APT Controls, Nuclear Engineering Services and Eurocamp which were sold to trade acquirers from Austria, Italy and France respectively. Most recently the team assisted Capita plc on its acquisition of Eclipse Legal, a deal announced earlier this month. With a strong pipeline, the team expects to have its best ever year. We are also delighted to announce that Vicki Mortimer has joined Edward Lethbridge’s Business Services team from Deloitte where she worked on a number of high profile M&A transactions in the Human Capital sub-sector. We will continue to invest in growing our team and expect to be announcing further appointments in the relatively near-term.

Debt Advisory – A market-leader in mid-market Debt Advisory for private equity clients

Our Debt Advisory business has rapidly established itself as a market-leading UK provider to mid-market private equity sponsors, having advised on an impressive 35 completed financing transactions since it began in January 2011.

Pensions Advisory – New name and website for Pensions Advisory clients

We are today launching a new name and dedicated website for our specialist UK Pensions Advisory business, www.lincolnpensions.com. Lincoln Pensions is the largest specialist provider of covenant advice to UK pension schemes and sponsoring employers and advises clients with approaching £100 billion of scheme assets. The new website demonstrates our commitment to this specific market.

New high-rise offices

To reflect Lincoln UK’s success and continuing expansion, we have recently moved to new offices on the 10th floor of Orion House, Upper St. Martin’s Lane, Covent Garden and look forward to welcoming our clients there.

Jim Lawson, Chairman of Lincoln International, commented:

“Across the group, Lincoln International advised on the sale of more companies owned by private equity houses last year than any other firm. Our growth in the UK has been a critical component of our global success. Over the past several years Lincoln has become the leading international mid-market investment bank with over 300 professionals in 16 offices across 14 countries and covering the 10 largest global economies. With new joiners, a new website as well as new offices we are excited about how the UK office is expanding and winning market share across each of its business lines.”

Darren Redmayne, UK CEO & Managing Director, commented:

“I am delighted that the London office is on track to record its sixth consecutive year of growth with strong activity in all areas of the business. The new website for Lincoln Pensions demonstrates our long-term commitment to the UK pensions advisory market and enables this service to better communicate with its specific market while still being able to seek out joint business opportunities as part of Lincoln International.”
