Lincoln International Expands Los Angeles Office; Christopher Petrossian Joins Lincoln International as Managing Director and Head of Los Angeles

Experienced Investment Banking Team from Barclays Capital Joins Existing Team to Expand Lincoln’s Presence in the Western U.S.

Lincoln International, a global M&A advisor focused on mid-market transactions, has announced that it has expanded its commitment to servicing the Western United States with a larger team and a new office in Downtown Los Angeles. The new members of the Los Angeles team will focus on providing M&A advisory, capital raising and other advisory services to public and private companies, private equity funds and family offices in the Western U.S. Christopher Petrossian has been appointed to lead the new office.

With thousands of dynamic middle market companies and some of the nation’s most vital centers of business and commerce, the Western U.S. represents an important region of growth and demand for Lincoln’s unique capabilities. Lincoln is the only truly international advisory firm with integrated global resources and industry expertise that is focused on delivering M&A advisory, capital raise, restructuring, fairness opinions, valuations and other advisory services to the middle market.

The Los Angeles office is expanding to include three new Los Angeles-based hires to complement existing Lincoln professionals from Los Angeles and Chicago. As a result, the Los Angeles office offers full local coverage and execution capabilities while also delivering, and being highly integrated with, Lincoln’s global operations. With a team approaching 200 professionals, of which approximately half are outside the U.S., Lincoln International has established a strong presence in the key global economies, with offices in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Madrid, Vienna, Amsterdam and Tokyo.

The Los Angeles office will be led by Christopher Petrossian, who recently joined the firm as Managing Director and Head of Los Angeles. Chris will lead the coverage and execution effort in the Western U.S. Chris joined Lincoln from Lehman Brothers/Barclays Capital, where during the past 11 years he worked in the M&A group in New York, the Financial Sponsors Group in Los Angeles, and most recently led the firm’s middle market effort in Los Angeles as Head of West Coast Regional Investment Banking. Chris executed over 50 lead-managed transactions with $43 billion in transaction value across a variety of industries and all major products, including M&A, debt, and equity. Previously, he worked at Deloitte Consulting and La Salle Partners where he focused on strategy and operations consulting and real estate investment banking, respectively. Chris received his MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics from UCLA, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude.

Alyssa Morrisroe, Director in Aerospace & Defense, continues in her role providing strategic advisory services for middle market aerospace and defense industry participants. Alyssa joined Lincoln from Jefferies Quarterdeck, and has spent over a decade working with companies in the global aerospace and defense industry, working in Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and London, where she founded Jefferies Quarterdeck’s U.K. office. She has closed dozens of transactions in the industry, including sales of private companies, corporate divestitures, sales for and to private equity firms as well as buy-side assignments and debt and equity financings. Alyssa received her BA from the University of California at Berkeley.

Francis Tran, Vice President, will work closely with Chris in Western Region coverage and execution across a broad range of industries and clients. Prior to joining Lincoln, Francis served in a dual role for Barclays Capital where he worked in the Financial Sponsors Group, covering and executing deals for West Coast private equity funds, while also working with Chris in the Regional Investment Banking Group to build the firm’s middle market corporate coverage effort. Francis received his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and dual BA degrees in Economics and Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley.

Michael Son, Analyst, joins from Lincoln’s Chicago office. Teresa James, Executive Assistant, joins from Lehman Brothers/Barclays Capital, where she spent over six years working with Chris and Francis.

“Chris and his team have deep relationships within the corporate and sponsor community in the Western U.S. and having their focus on this region will be invaluable for us,” said Robert B. Barr, Managing Director and President of Lincoln International’s U.S. operations.

Jim Lawson, Managing Director and Chairman of Lincoln International, continued “the Western Region is an important area of growth for Lincoln given the high concentration of dynamic and growing middle market companies. By pairing the transaction experience and deep relationships of the Los Angeles team with the industry expertise and global resources of the Lincoln International platform, Lincoln is uniquely positioned to provide superior advice to middle market companies in the region. We plan to further expand and increase our presence in the dynamic Western U.S. by adding bankers with deep industry and product expertise.”

“Having spent several years focused on middle market clients across the Western U.S., I believe Lincoln is ideally suited to provide investment banking services for our clients in this region,” said Christopher Petrossian. “Lincoln’s unique combination of global reach, broad product offering, industry-specific expertise and a dedicated institutional focus on the middle market provides an optimal solution for our clients that is unmatched by bulge bracket firms and other mid-market advisors. We are excited to join the exceptional bankers at Lincoln and deliver the full resources of the firm to our Western Region clients.”
