Lincoln International represents StrionAir, Inc. in its sale to Carrier Corporation

CHICAGO, August 31, 2009 – The Building and Infrastructure Group of Lincoln International, a global middle-market investment bank, has announced the sale of StrionAir, Inc. (“StrionAir” or the “Company”), a company backed by The Carlyle Group, Sequel Venture Partners, Solstice Capital and Vista Ventures, to Carrier Corporation (“Carrier”), a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation (NYSE: UTX).  Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

StrionAir, headquartered in Louisville, Colorado, is a producer of enhanced electronic filtration methods and products that are displacing traditional air filtration methods in a variety of residential and commercial applications at a time of increasing energy, health and environmental awareness.  The StrionAir solution is the world’s only high efficiency, germicidal air purification system that eliminates the traditional requirement for higher power consumption to achieve cleaner air.  Carrier, headquartered in Farmington, Connecticut, is the world’s largest provider of heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions. Carrier is part of United Technologies Corporation, a Hartford, Connecticut-based provider of products and services to the aerospace and building systems industries worldwide.

Lincoln International acted as the exclusive financial advisor to StrionAir, working closely with StrionAir’s senior management team and Board of Directors throughout the sale process.  This included providing advisory expertise and managing the preparatory, marketing, negotiation and due diligence phases of the transaction.  Andrew Bohutinsky, Managing Director of Lincoln International, commented, “StrionAir is a tremendous business with cutting-edge, energy efficient technology.  We were honored to represent the Company’s shareholders in this process."
