Lincoln International Represents Morgenthaler Partners in the Sale of Mark Andy, Inc. to American Industrial Partners


CHICAGO, October 30, 2008 – Lincoln International LLC, a global mid-market investment bank, today announced the sale of Mark Andy, Inc. (“Mark Andy” or the “Company”), a portfolio company of Morgenthaler Partners (“Morgenthaler”), to American Industrial Partners.  Lincoln International acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Morgenthaler and Mark Andy in connection with this transaction. 

 

Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri with a second manufacturing location in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mark Andy is the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of narrow and mid-web flexographic equipment and aftermarket products serving the label, packaging and specialty printing markets.  The Company sells its products under the Mark Andy and Comco brand names and has an installed base of approximately 5,000 units worldwide. 

 

Lincoln International continues to close transactions in a challenging market, with Mark Andy representing the 12th transaction that Lincoln International has closed since September 1, 2008. Mark Andy is the 19th transaction that Lincoln International’s Global Industrial group has closed this year.  This transaction represents the third time Lincoln International has represented Morgenthaler in the sale of a portfolio company.
