Richard advises clients on sell-side mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and is responsible for the industrial sector in Germany. He has nearly 30 years of advisory experience within the German corporate finance advisory market and has assisted clients with disposals, acquisitions, public takeovers, initial public offerings, secondary placements, privatizations, private placements and debt financing. Richard has worked for large German and international corporations, mid-cap and growth companies, as well as financial investors.

Richard has successfully generated and completed a substantial number of corporate finance transactions in many different industries, with a focus on industrial companies. He has a deep understanding of the M&A market and business drivers within this sector. He provides clients with opportunities to leverage as digitalization of the industrial value chain leads to new data-based business models.

Prior to joining Lincoln International, Richard was a partner at Mellenthin Co., an internationally oriented M&A boutique, where he led numerous German and cross-border projects. Previously, he worked as a Director in the investment banking division of Credit Suisse First Boston.

Richard earned a degree in business administration from University of Cologne and a CEMS Master at HEC Paris. He completed his undergraduate studies at Freie Universität Berlin.
