Lincoln International LLC secures financing commitments in support of Marlin Equity Partners’ acquisition of Phoenix Technologies Ltd.
CHICAGO, IL, November 23, 2010 – Marlin Equity Partners (“Marlin”) announced today the successful acquisition of Phoenix Technologies Ltd. (“Phoenix” or the “Company”) in a going-private transaction. Phoenix is a leading provider of core system software, otherwise known as BIOS, for personal mobile computers and other computing devices. As part of the acquisition, Lincoln International, a leading mid-market investment bank, agented the senior secured debt facilities to support Marlin’s acquisition of the Company. Specifically, Lincoln International’s Debt Advisory Group acted as exclusive financial advisor to Marlin and privately placed a Senior Secured Revolving Credit Facility and a Unitranche Term Loan.
As Marlin’s exclusive financial advisor, Lincoln International worked closely with Marlin on all aspects of the capital raise, helping to structure, arrange and negotiate the financing.
