Lincoln International advises EPF Partners and its founders in the sale of Ingénica Group to Phoebe Group

PARIS, January 2009 -- Lincoln International’s French team has announced that it has completed its first transaction of 2009: advising EPF Partners and its founders in the sale of Ingénica Group, one of the leading independent French industrial engineering firms. Counseled by Lincoln, the shareholders of Ingénica Group, including financial investors (EPF Partners) and the founders, have sold the group to Phoebe Group, a player in the growth of this sector supported by private capital and the investment fund Avenir Finance.

Ingénica, located in the Paris region, is a well-known French firm in industrial engineering, with strong capabilities in instrumentation, command control and general installation, and a portfolio of well-known clients in the sectors of energy and environment. Ingénica has approximately 400 employees, mostly engineers or experienced technicians in numerous locations in France, with the majority based in the Paris region and in Lyon.

Phoebe is a growth actor in technological consulting, with expertise in document engineering, information systems, complex systems, and industrial and electronic distribution. The acquisition of Ingenica represents a major evolution for Phoebe, now becoming a major independent player in a sector in constant flux.

“I have been impressed by the perseverance, tenacity and energy deployed by Lincoln on this project,” says Emmanuel Laillier, Associate Director of EPF Partners.

"This first transaction in 2009, in the midst of a difficult market and economy, illustrates Lincoln’s capacities to find creative solutions for its clients in France or internationally,” says Sébastien de Larminat, Director Lincoln International.

François Rispoli, Associate Director of Lincoln Paris, reminds that "after the recent sales of Siemens Building Technology in Germany and the Diagnostic Engineering Division of Johnson Controls in France, this recent transaction emphasizes the strong activity of the international business services group."
