Capital Resource Partners Sells Buckeye Nutrition

Boston, MA - Capital Resource Partners announced today that it has sold Buckeye Feed Mills, Inc. (d.b.a. Buckeye Nutrition) to the Milk Specialties Company of Dundee, Illinois.  Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Buckeye Nutrition is a manufacturer and marketer of branded feed for champion horses, dogs, cats, and other animals.  The company focuses on the premium segment of its markets, a segment that is growing as owners, breeders, and other enthusiasts increase their per capita spending on their animals.  The company is particularly strong in the equine market.  The Buckeye brand has international awareness with equestrians, standardbred and thoroughbred trainers, and owners who demand feed that will optimize the performance of their horses.  Within the premium segment of equine feed, Buckeye Nutrition is a market share leader in the areas in which it has distribution from its plant in Dalton, Ohio.

Through its three divisions, the Milk Specialties Company provides top quality health and nutrition products that optimize animal performance.  The company operates its National Pet Products division in New Holstein, Wisconsin.  This division will increase the manufacturing capacity and geographic distribution of Buckeye products.
