Lincoln International Advises in the sale of The Hudson-Sharp Machine Company to Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc.

 

CHICAGO, August 27, 2009 – Lincoln International LLC, a global mid-market investment bank, today announced the sale of The Hudson-Sharp Machine Company (“Hudson-Sharp” or the “Company”) to Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc. (“Barry-Wehmiller”). Hudson Sharp is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of plastic bag making machinery, pouch making equipment, and reclosable packaging solutions and was a portfolio company of The Riverside Company (“Riverside”), a private investment firm headquartered in New York, New York. Barry-Wehmiller is a leading manufacturer of packaging automation; corrugating, sheeting, and finishing; and paper converting equipment headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri.

 

Lincoln International initiated this transaction, assisted in the negotiations and acted as the exclusive financial advisor to The Riverside Company. Kristin Newhall, Partner at The Riverside Company, commented: “Lincoln’s expertise and perseverance were essential in successfully completing the sale of Hudson Sharp to a highly strategic buyer in a challenging market”. The terms of this transaction were not disclosed.
