Lincoln International represents Nova Capital in the sale of Carbolite Holdings Limited
Lincoln International LLP (“Lincoln”), a leading independent mid-market investment bank, has completed the sale of Carbolite Holdings Limited (“Carbolite”), a Derbyshire-based designer and manufacturer of high temperature ovens and furnaces for industrial processes and laboratory testing across a wide range of industrial and research sectors, to Verder Holdings B.V. (“Verder”).
Carbolite, which has 160 employees, is the global market leading manufacturer of high temperature ovens and furnaces for industrial process and laboratory testing across a wide range of industrial and research sectors. The company manufactures its products in Derbyshire, UK and sells its products directly in the UK, Germany, France and the US and through a global network of around 100 distributors. Carbolite was part of a portfolio of six businesses acquired by Nova Capital Management Limited (“Nova”) from Barloworld of South Africa in November 2007. Nova investors will make a gross equity return of 3.5 times the equity invested in Carbolite.
Verder is a Dutch family-owned technology company with operations in liquids handling technology, laboratory equipment and process handling. Through the acquisition of Carbolite, Verder is adding a new product group to its laboratory equipment division. Carbolite will benefit from Verder’s extensive distribution network.
