Lincoln International represents Sal. Oppenheim in the sale of its cash equities sales and research business to Macquarie
Frankfurt, 6 April 2010 - The German private bank Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. KGaA completed the sale of its cash equities sales and research business to Macquarie Group. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Sal. Oppenheim's cash equities sales and research business provides institutional investors with highly qualified advice when making investments in continental European shares, block trades and secondary placements as well as own equity research and roadshow management services. The business is particularly strong in Germany and enjoys an excellent reputation among institutional investors.
With this acquisition Macquarie expands the presence of its cash equities business into continental Europe and achieves a particularly strong presence in Germany. Macquarie's existing cash equities activities will benefit from Sal. Oppenheim's leading research product and its close relationships with institutional clients investing in these markets.
