Lincoln International’s Aerospace and Defense Group Represents ECA SA in the Acquisition of Triton Imaging

PARIS, December, 10 2009 – Lincoln International, a leading global mid-market investment bank, advised ECA SA (ENXTPA: ECASA) on its acquisition of Triton Imaging, Inc (“Triton”).  Triton is a worldwide leader in the development of high-performance, highly automated software tools for seafloor mapping and underwater imaging used in a variety of defense, homeland security and commercial applications.  The company’s products are designed to acquire, process, fuse, visualize, and interpret data from a wide array of seafloor imaging sensors.  Triton’s customer base includes the United States Navy, the Royal Australian Navy, Exxon Mobile and the Port of Los Angeles, among many others.  Triton was established in 1993 and is headquartered in Carpinteria, California; the company also has an office in Capitola, California.

Through its acquisition of Triton, ECA SA has demonstrated its commitment to moving up the value chain as Triton’s software products will help ECA SA strengthen its range of solutions and competitive advantages in underwater robotics used for hydrography, oceanography and marine safety applications. ECA SA will integrate Triton’s technology into its Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (“AUV”) programs.  As an example, Triton’s products will serve as the platform for the tactical system of the SIMBA 455, a multifunctional vessel that represents the next generation of a long line of AUV’s produced by ECA SA.  Simulator Systems International (“SSI”), ECA SA’s U.S. affiliate, will take charge of the support functions for Triton and will lead the efforts to develop technical and commercial synergies by incorporating Triton’s products into SSI’s Remote Operated Vehicle (“ROV”) offering for homeland security applications.
